Apple releases iOS 4.3.2

Apple has just released the latest version of iOS, iOS 4.3.2 which fixes problems like FaceTime issues and international iPad 3G connections and security. Still there is no news about the low battery time that the iPhone 4 was having problems with on iOS 4.3, but at least the new software fixes some of the problems that users had with FaceTime and also with their iPad 3G.

In the release note there is no reference to any updates that they may have brought to fix the battery life issue, of course this issue may be already fixed and not noted. Like previous updates, the new iOS 4.3.2 is very easy to install and all you have to do in order to have it on your device is to plug your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your computer open iTunes and just click check for updates, so if you are the owner of an iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, or iPod Touch than just download it and find out for yourself what improvements Apple has made.

This update contains improvements and other bug fixes including…
  • Fixes an issue that occasionally caused blank or frozen video during a FactTime call
  • Fixes and issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on iPad Wi-Fi + 3G
  • Contains the latest security updates
On a side note, if you’ve jailbroken your iOS device or unlocked your iPhone and you want to keep it that way, we strongly advise you not to update at the moment especially via iTunes as you will loose both your jailbreak and carrier unlock. The latest ultrasn0w tool from the iPhone Dev Team is only updated to cover up to iOS version 4.3.1 and not this latest 4.3.2.

Samsung S52600 Star II will be launched in February

The original widely spread Samsung Star is now aging seriously. To fix this,Samsung has prepared a successor. Samsung Star II has been leaving leakages here and there at the recent times and now we finally have an official word on its specifications and availability. Remaining a budget niche product, Star II model number S5260 will not get any version of Android as it could. Instead, designers have left it with the Samsung’s in-house bada core with TouchWiz UI on top of it by the looks of things. Probably to remain at low hardware requirements and keep a competitive price, though this is yet to be proved. Speaking of competition, Samsung Star II aims at social networking and comes with a fistful of respective clients and apps. A splash of specs is after the jump.

Samsung S5260 Star II specifications:

Connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, EDGE
Display: 3" 240 × 400 WQVGA
Camera: 3.2 megapixel
Software: TouchWiz UI, Social Hub, Facebook, Twitter, IM apps
Battery: 1,000 mAh

S52600 Star II will launch in February in Germany and then spread to other EU countries, South America and Middle East to India.

Apple suspected in the development of "smart TV"

According to Katie Hubert Morgan Stanley analyst, Asian sources suggest that Apple is developing a prototype "smart TV". It is not known what lies behind this title, but Hubert said that the new device may include: videoplayer and TV content, games, digital video, FaceTime and other features.

The analyst believes that such a device - the next "big" product of Apple, will be able to bring an additional 4 billion dollars a year with each 1% of the television market, which they enter in 2013.

Rumors about the possible release of the TV Apple appeared repeatedly few past years. Nevertheless, one can assume that it still is not all about television in the usual sense. Apple has already demonstrated that all of its products are designed around iTunes as the main source of content (for example, the iPhone has no FM-tuner, and Mac does not support Blu-ray discs), so it will be hardly possible to use such a device as a "normal TV" and digital video recorder.

Hubert also suggests that the next model of the iPhone will support LTE by 2012 and establishes a target price of Apple shares at $ 410
